Overview
The Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt, nicknamed the "Warthog", has been the main ground-attack aircraft of the U.S. Air Force since 1975, designed for ground-attack and anti-armor missions. Powered by two engines, it reaches a maximum speed of 706 km/h at low altitude and features a 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling gun capable of firing up to 4,200 rounds per minute with immense recoil. The AMXPlanes model is a detailed ARF replica with dual 50 mm 12-blade impellers, producing nearly a 1:1 thrust-to-weight ratio and a turbine-like sound when powered by a 4S 2600 mAh LiPo battery. Pre-installed components include servos, brushless motors, and dual 40A ESCs, providing excellent flight characteristics and easy launching from grass or runways. It is beginner-friendly, with flight times of 6–8 minutes and low landing speeds, making it suitable for smaller spaces. Assembly is simple and requires minimal effort, and the model comes in secure packaging with all necessary parts included. A 4-channel remote control, receiver, and battery are required to complete the setup.
