Overview

The EMO XL Bison stands out as Cross RC’s first mass-produced 1/8-scale six-wheel-drive high-performance simulation crawler. It is a large and heavy model (approximately 7.1 kg net weight) that commands attention with its imposing appearance and functional, easily customizable cargo bed. The design focuses on durability and extreme off-road capability, featuring an extremely strong aluminum-alloy frame and robust nylon axle housings built to withstand harsh conditions.

Features

• The Cross-RC 1/8 EMO platform has undergone three generations of development, with continuous reinforcement and upgrades, delivering reliable, high-quality performance for the new EMO XL.
• The metal reverse gearbox, equipped with a CNC-machined aircraft-aluminum motor mount, effectively dissipates motor heat. The internal gears use a combination of machined and MIM-injected gears, providing high strength, low noise, and wear resistance.
• The entire vehicle is equipped with ABEC3-grade precision bearings, ensuring quiet, smooth operation and longer maintenance intervals.
• The suspension links are made from 7 mm-diameter 304 stainless-steel rods that are wear- and rust-resistant while also lowering the center of gravity. The suspension-link rod ends have been upgraded to larger, reinforced ball ends for greater durability and impact resistance.
• Large 21 mm-diameter CNC shock absorbers with vacuum-plated shock shafts improve shock absorption smoothness and damping-oil performance, providing strong support while maintaining a flexible stance. Filled with 350CST shock oil and factory-assembled with proper ventilation.
• Reinforced main rails for heavy loads, meeting the demands of powerful modifications and intense high-speed driving without being easily damaged.
• Robust front and rear portal axles made from imported, high-quality weather-resistant nylon meet the strength requirements for driving in low temperatures.
• Second-generation rear balance-link system with updated geometry based on new structures. First introduced in the model-building hobby in 2022 with the CROSSRC EMOX Rhinoceros, it effectively improves control of the roll center of gravity during high-speed maneuvers without affecting shock absorber performance, ensuring smooth operation.
• High-quality AT tires, the same as those used on the EMO X3, provide a specially designed tread pattern for explosive traction.
• Equipped as standard with powerful lighting groups, including grille warning lights, with multiple modes controllable via the remote control.
• The entire vehicle features a 7.4V high-voltage circuit, a full-range servo shifting mechanism, and a differential lock.
