Overview

The Enduro Trailwalker Portal Plus Trail Truck is built for confident trail adventures. It features high-clearance portal axles with all-metal gears, ball bearings, and a heavy-duty internal input bearing, providing nearly an inch more clearance than standard straight axles. This rugged design is perfect for navigating challenging terrain. The Trailwalker Portal Plus comes equipped with performance-oriented electronics, including a 14-turn 5-slot brushed motor paired with a 2-in-1 ESC/receiver. Operation is made easy with a 4-channel 2.4 GHz radio and Reedy Power high-torque metal-gear servo, making this trail truck ready for any adventure.

Features

BTA Steering and Aluminum Steering Plates: Behind-the-axle steering provides better approach angles, increased clearance, and a cleaner look. Bolted-on aluminum steering plates allow for more adjustments, greater strength, and future modifications.

Integrated Servo Winch Mount: Mounting a winch directly to the chassis is the strongest and most reliable location on any trail rig. It is positioned next to the steering servo for overall chassis balance and weight distribution.

Threaded Aluminum Shock Bodies: Threaded aluminum and fluid-filled, these shocks keep the vehicle stable on the course and retain oil even over the roughest terrain.

Reedy Power Crawler Motor: The Reedy Power 5-slot
The 14-turn brushed crawler motor delivers ample torque with smooth power delivery. This provides slow, precise acceleration while maintaining consistent power over rough terrain and obstacles.

RX-21 2-in-1 ESC/Receiver Unit: This RTR is equipped with a waterproof 2-in-1 brushed electronic speed control (ESC) and receiver unit with an on/off switch.

Optional Gearing: If more underdrive is desired, we also offer an optional Factory Team 12/23 gear set (sold separately) with approximately 36% underdrive for serious rock-crawling enthusiasts.

Portal Axles: When it comes to rock crawling, ground clearance is crucial. That is why the Trailwalker Portal Plus includes our brand-new high-clearance portal axles. With nearly an extra inch of center-axle clearance compared to standard straight axles, getting over tough obstacles is a breeze. To combat the tremendous amount of torque inherent in portal axles, we not only use metal gears throughout, but also use six screws to securely hold the portal gearboxes together. With so many screws, this means a stronger portal box and less chance of gears coming apart under heavy loads.

Stealth® X: Included is our performance-proven Stealth® X transmission with the ability to adjust the rear gear ratio. In the box, you get the standard 5.7% and 11.83% gearing options. Combined with our brand-new portal axles with zero percent underdrive, this is the perfect mild setup for the average crawler. If even more rear underdrive is desired, an optional 12/23-tooth gear set (#42373) is available separately for an additional 36% axle-to-axle overdrive only!
