Drivetrain

The VS4-10 kit includes the Vanquish Products VFD transmission and F10 straight axles. The molded F10 straight axles use a high-clearance design that minimizes pumpkin size and maximizes strength around the C-hub and knuckle. The VFD connects to the F10 straight axles via ISD10 driveshafts. The ISD10 driveshafts feature machined constant-velocity joints at both ends with molded splines between them for smooth and efficient performance.

VFD Transmission

The VFD is designed to provide an optimal balance of performance, scale appearance, strength, and versatile optional accessories. The VFD design places the motor forward and as low as possible to keep the weight where you want it. The VFD Spec transmission provides a standard 6.5% overdrive for improved turning and climbing performance without putting additional strain on your electronics. The T-housing uses unique, replaceable bearing plates for adjustable bearing positioning. The modular bearing-plate design allows optional gear ratios to be used in the T-housing. The VFD transmission is compatible with 540 brushed and brushless motors*

F10 Straight Axles

The F10 molded plastic straight axles benefit from Vanquish Products' years of design experience in making the best aluminum axles in the industry. The molded F10 straight axles feature an ultra-rigid design with an integrated frame connecting both ends of the axle, plus oversized C-hubs with an integrated panhard mount.

Chassis

The Vanquish Products VS4-10 chassis is designed to offer a balance between scale appearance and unrestricted performance. The steel C-channel design provides scale details, while cast front and rear crossmembers reinforce the chassis rails at the highest-stress points for ultimate strength and provide features such as dual servo mounts, winch line routing, and a fuel cell. The cast rock sliders come with a replaceable outer section. The chassis-mounted Panhard mount is made from machined aluminum to withstand the impact of harsh terrain. Cast shock towers support the tops of the 90 mm Incision S8E shocks with dual-shear mounting for maximum support.

Suspension

The VS4-10 features Incision 90mm S8E shocks with larger threaded aluminum bodies with an 8 mm bore, dual X-ring seals, locking spring preload collars, grooved spring cups, polished steel shock shafts, and machined pistons. The front 3-link with Panhard suspension provides a scale appearance by keeping the servo out of sight while still allowing room for full suspension travel. The suspension uses a complete set of stainless steel links to keep weight low, with a smooth transition from the links to the rod ends.

S8E Scale Shocks

The Incision S8E Scale Shocks feature a larger 8 mm bore for increased damping. The larger volume reduces internal shock pressure for longer seal life. The dual-molded X-ring shock cartridge at the bottom provides more sealing surfaces than standard O-rings. The threaded shock bodies allow for a wide range of spring preload adjustment. Offset lower pivots provide more flexibility when adjusting the shock angle.
