Overview

The Yucatan is a high-end 1:8-scale crawler based on the successful ABSIMA CR3.4 chassis. All the features that made its smaller 1:10-scale siblings (Sherpa, Khamba) so successful have been carried over. Thanks to the 1:8 chassis, even more extreme maneuvers are possible, and the dimensions of the body allow the details to stand out even more, giving the vehicle a stunning appearance on the road.

Features

• A realistically designed 5 mm CNC-machined aluminum frame with a robust aluminum 4-link suspension system.
• Oil-filled shock absorbers with 5 mm piston rods provide a silky-smooth and realistic response. The vehicle is equipped with MEDIUM springs as standard (SOFT & HARD are optional).
• Portal axles not only provide greater ground clearance from the differential housing than conventional axles, but also offer another significant advantage. In conventional crawlers, the torque generates so much force that the vehicle jumps over the obstacle. The portal axle design reduces the gear ratio at the wheels and virtually eliminates drivetrain torque shocks. The total gear ratio of the axle drive is more than twice that of non-portal designs, ensuring smooth operation.
• A unique hydraulic shock absorber design combined with a digital, waterproof steering servo with a 20 kg operating force and an aluminum servo arm enables a steering angle of up to 43°.
• Three 0.9kg mini servos for the 2-speed gearbox and differential locking/unlocking are already installed. All servos are waterproof.
• The YUCATAN Crawler has a manual 2-speed gearbox that lets you conquer difficult terrain and quickly reach the next obstacle. Simply press a button on the remote control to switch from the standard 1/37.1 low-speed ratio to the 1/15.1 high-speed ratio.
• Lock and unlock the front and rear differentials independently for maximum performance on the track—all remotely controlled with your radio and 2 built-in mini servos.
• An aluminium motor mount and an adjustable slipper clutch provide extra protection under extreme conditions.
