Description
BNF
The AMXFlight DO-27 includes most electronic components and only requires a battery, transmitter, and receiver to operate the aircraft.
Overview
The Dornier DO-27, developed from the DO-25, featured redesigned wings, a vertical stabilizer, and integrated wing fuel tanks, powered by a Lycoming GO-480-B1A6 engine. These modifications required the landing gear to be repositioned and reinforced to accommodate the heavier engine. The prototype first flew on October 17, 1956, and the German Army, a major customer, received its first production model on January 14, 1957, making it the first German mass-produced powered aircraft after World War II. The scale model, with its striking red-and-white color scheme, offers excellent flight characteristics and accommodates 4S LiPo batteries (14.8V, 3000–5000mAh). Its 1600mm wingspan, LED lighting, and large wheels enable short takeoffs, smooth landings, and stall-resistant performance. Ideal for advanced beginners and experienced pilots, the high-wing design provides stability, while the bright color scheme ensures easy visibility and position recognition during flight.
