Overview

The Ruffneck is a high-performance crawler designed for extreme capability, featuring a dual-rail carbon fiber LCG chassis for a low center of gravity. The lightweight 6/4 counterweight radio positioning optimizes electronic placement for maximum performance. Powered by the Hobbywing 30A 2200kv All-in-One FOC Power System, the Ruffneck delivers exceptional low-speed torque, smoothness, and linearity. The chassis features CNC-machined aluminum components, including front and rear axles, a motor plate, lower center plate, and steering knuckles. Steel CVA and center driveshafts transfer torque through a metal-gear reduction transmission with a final drive ratio of 37:1. The 15 kg metal-gear Etronix steering servo is mounted on a brass SOA plate and paired with a metal servo horn for reliable control. Threaded, adjustable aluminum shocks and super-sticky lug tires ensure smooth performance over rough terrain, while the semi-scale truck body is securely mounted using hidden mounts.
