Overview

The Dornier DO-27, an evolution of the DO-25, featured redesigned wings and vertical stabilizer, integrated wing fuel tanks, and a Lycoming GO-480-B1A6 engine. These updates required reinforced landing gear due to the heavier engine and modified center of gravity. The prototype first flew on October 17, 1956, and the German Army became a major customer, receiving its first aircraft on January 14, 1957, making the DO-27 the first mass-produced German-powered aircraft after World War II. This scale replica of the DO-27, with Bundeswehr camouflage, combines excellent flight characteristics with a balanced power system designed for 4S LiPo batteries. Its 1600 mm wingspan, LED lighting, and large wheels make it ideal for short takeoffs, landings, and slow flights with minimal risk of stalling. Suitable for both advanced beginners and experienced pilots, its high-wing design and eye-catching paintwork improve stability and visibility in flight.
