Vanquish VRD Carbon Kit (Roller)

Overview

The Vanquish Products VRD Carbon Kit is the very first competition platform from the brand, developed by some of the most experienced designers in the RC rock crawling scene. The kit includes a completely new Lightweight Spec VFD transmission and updated F10 portal axles, inspired by competition use. The chassis consists of 3 mm thick carbon fiber frame rails with a matte finish, combined with a 6-degree flat skid plate. The lightweight transmission is positioned as low as possible for optimal weight distribution. For the first time, the front axle is equipped with a servo-on-axle and a 4-link suspension. Both the front and rear axles contain weighted brass tube inserts, while the front steering knuckles are made of aluminum to add extra weight to keep the center of gravity low — for maximum performance on technical terrain.

Chassis

The Vanquish Products VRD Carbon chassis is equipped with brand new cast chassis components that provide an adjustable platform for the most demanding terrain conditions. Multiple shock absorber and body mounting positions, combined with minimalist removable front and rear bumpers, make body mounting and installation easy. Stamped aluminum rock sliders provide a flat location for mounting electronics and/or batteries and support and protect your body.

Drivetrain

The heart of the VRD Carbon Kit is the new lightweight VFD transmission. Equipped with a lightweight machined aluminum motor plate, aluminum motor plate spacers, while the cosmetic VFD tunnel is omitted for a premium look. Internally, the VFD is equipped with machined aluminum bearing plates and machined lightweight chromoly gears. Each internal gear is redesigned to be as light as possible, reducing the total transmission weight while maintaining durability. The T-Case has a built-in 21% overdrive.

The front F10 portal axle has overdrive portal gears, while the rear F10 portal axle has standard overdrive gears. Combined with the VFD overdrive, the final overdrive ratio is 37%. Both axles feature reinforced brass tubes on the inside, alongside aluminum portal hinge caps on the front axle. This is the heaviest F10 axle to date, keeping the center of gravity as low as possible and the weight distribution forward.

Suspension

The VRD Carbon Kit includes the Incision S8E shock absorbers with hard anodized shock absorber housings and adjustable rod ends in various lengths for a final length of 85-95 mm. Robust stainless steel lower suspension links and lightweight upper links connect the chassis to the axles via the new Incision Pro M4 rod ends. The rear lower links are bent for maximum clearance. Multiple shock absorber mounting points and an adjustable shock absorber length provide a wide range of ride height and clearance adjustment.
