Overview
The DUMAS PT-109 (4SP1233) is an impressive 838 mm wooden RC torpedo boat kit, based on the famous PT-109, commanded by Lieutenant John F. Kennedy during World War II. The traditional wooden construction consists of die-cut plywood parts, micro-foam PVC hull planks, wooden and plastic structural components, cast metal fittings, and numerous scale details. The kit is intended for experienced model builders and can be built with a simple single-motor RC drive system or an authentic scale setup with three motors, like the original. The separate DUMAS #2362 drive/accessory set is required for the basic drive system and includes propeller shafts, couplings, propellers, and rudder components. A unique kit for enthusiasts of historic military RC models.
