Overview
A new High-Clearance Wing, pre-assembled, has been developed and produced by JConcepts Inc. The 7-inch wide HCW features a short-chord design for quick rotation and a flat base that allows for more tire clearance. As carpet, artificial turf, and high-traction terrain become increasingly popular, racers have requested a specific 7-inch rear wing. The durable and pre-assembled design has clipped rear corners for increased stiffness and a traditional lower gurney that provides even less drag on big jumps.
The side dams of the wing feature hard radius cutouts that allow for even more expansion and flex space for the rear tires. JConcepts designers Paul Wynn and Fred Reep have added dual stability angles that also contribute to an improved front-to-rear structure. The back of the wing still maintains a high angle relative to the vertical rear dam, providing racers with a simple layout suitable for fast tracks. The HCW is a direct-fit part for most 1/10th buggies and includes one pre-cut wing per package.
