Description
Overview
The Futaba GY470 (FUT5102707) is a compact and lightweight 2-mode helicopter gyro, specially designed for the tail/yaw axis of RC helicopters. The integrated MEMS sensor supports both Normal and AVCS (Heading Hold) for precise tail stabilization. The gain and mode can be set remotely via the transmitter. The GY470 supports conventional PWM receivers and Futaba S.BUS/S.BUS2, and is suitable for digital servos with 1520 µs or 760 µs neutral signals.
Features
- Dedicated helicopter tail gyro: Specially designed for the tail/yaw axis of RC helicopters.
- Single-axis stabilization: Controls unwanted yaw movements to maintain tail stability.
- MEMS sensor: Uses a MEMS vibration-structure gyro sensor.
- Normal and AVCS modes: Provides conventional gyro stabilization and AVCS heading hold.
- Remote gain adjustment: Allows the gyro sensitivity to be adjusted via the transmitter.
- Remote mode switching: Normal, Gyro Off, and AVCS operation can be selected remotely via the gain channel.
- S.BUS/S.BUS2 support: Can be connected to a compatible Futaba receiver via a single serial connection.
- PWM receiver connection: Can also be used with conventional receiver outputs.
- Support for 1520 µs and 760 µs: Supports digital tail servos with both standard 1520 µs and narrow-band 760 µs neutral pulse widths.
- Digital servos only: Analog servos are not supported.
- Adjustable servo limits: The tail servo limit points can be adjusted during installation.
- Adjustable gyro direction: Allows the correction direction to be configured for installation.
- Easy installation: Designed to require minimal adjustment before use.
- LED status indicator: Indicates the gyro status.
- Compatible with electric and combustion-engine helicopters: Suitable for both electric and combustion-engine helicopters.
- Ultra-compact and lightweight: Weighs only 3.7 g and measures 20.7 × 20.7 × 11.0 mm.
