Overview
The Platinum V4 series products provide an extremely smooth motor start and eliminate tail drift issues commonly encountered in helicopters. The startup time can be adjusted from 8 to 25 seconds, ensuring an optimal start for every flight. Equipped with a powerful 32-bit processor running at 72 MHz and advanced algorithms, this speed controller provides precise speed control for a superior control experience. With an adjustable voltage range of 5V to 8V and a maximum continuous current of 10A (25A peak), the built-in switching-mode BEC can effectively power the servos.
The Platinum V4 ESC offers four braking modes—Brake Off, Normal Brake, Proportional Brake, and Reverse Brake—with adjustable braking amounts and automatic braking force allocation in proportional mode based on the throttle position. Multiple protection functions, including ESC thermal protection and capacitor thermal protection (patented by HOBBYWING), ESC overload protection, throttle signal loss (or Fail-Safe) protection, and low-voltage cutoff, are highly effective.
