Overview

The Team Associated RC8T4.2e Team Kit is the latest evolution of the 1/8 electric 4WD competition truggy, developed by the legendary Area 51 team. Brutal brushless power, high cornering speeds, hard landings, and changing grip call for precision and durability, and this kit delivers both for racers aiming for the podium.

The aluminum chassis, designed specifically for electric running, optimizes weight distribution for LiPo batteries and brushless components; together with the new molded top plate, it makes the truggy noticeably more stable on bumpy tracks. Electronics, wheels, tires, body, and paint must be purchased separately.

• Electric chassis: aluminum chassis optimized for LiPo batteries and brushless components, with a new molded top plate.
• Adjustable-height differentials: molded front and rear gearboxes with diff inserts to match driveshaft angles to ride height.
• Updated shock towers with extra body mounting positions.
• New molded suspension arms front and rear: stiffer and more durable.
• 16° KPI steering knuckles with revised bump-steer geometry for predictable steering in deep ruts.
• New rear sway bar with wider mounting points.
• Large center differential with 19 mm and 20 mm HTC gears.
• 131 mm CVA driveshafts with heavy-duty 17 mm outdrives and 40/9 ring and pinion gears.
• Oil shocks can be built with bladders or as emulsion shocks (both included).
• Factory Team parts: hard-anodized aluminum shock bushings and FT wheel hexes with grooved pins.
• High-downforce rear wing for traction on fast sections.
