Vanquish VRD Straight Builders Kit 1/10 (Roller)

Overview

The Vanquish Products VRD Builders Kit is our entry-level competition platform, brought to life by some of the most experienced designers in the RC rock-crawling segment. With the VFD transmission and F10 straight axles, the VRD Builders Kit is a highly competitive, predictable, and versatile platform. At the heart of the VRD Builders Kit is a pair of 3 mm-thick aluminum frame rails, connected by the 6-degree flat skid plate. The molded chassis components and skid plate position the VFD transmission as low as possible in the VRD chassis. The front F10 straight axle is equipped with an axle-mounted servo and a 4-link suspension.

Chassis

The Vanquish Products VRD chassis is equipped with molded chassis components that provide an adjustable platform for the most demanding terrain. Multiple shock and body mounting positions, combined with minimalist interchangeable front and rear bumpers, make body installation and mounting simple. Stamped aluminum rock sliders provide a flat surface for mounting electronics and/or batteries while supporting and protecting your body.

Drivetrain

At the heart of the VRD Builders Kit is the VFD transmission, which omits the cosmetic VFD tunnel for a high-performance appearance and reduced weight. Internally, the VFD features full ball bearings and metal gears, while the transfer case provides 6.5% overdrive.

The F10 straight axles are proven performers and feature full ball bearings and universal drive shafts. The front axle has an axle-mounted servo with a 4-link suspension.

Suspension

The VRD Builders Kit includes Incision 90 mm S8E shocks with aluminum shock bodies. Heavy-duty stainless steel lower suspension links and lightweight upper links connect the chassis to the axles via Incision M4 rod ends. The rear lower links are bent for maximum clearance when traversing obstacles. Multiple shock mounting points and adjustable shock length provide a wide range of ride-height and clearance adjustments.
