Overview

When JConcepts hits the track with new items, you can feel it. The Pioneer wheels for the vintage 2WD buggy class, first introduced at the Florida Carpet Championships, combine retro inspiration with the distinctive JConcepts style. Inspired by a replica of Masami Hirosaka’s 1989 car, Jason Ruona dreamed of an iconic variant. The expanding panels provide a fresh style, while the offset and mounting remain faithful to the original.

New outer ribs, a radial ring around the wheel nut, and four screw positions replicate the vintage look, while the included adapters attach to 1/4" or 3/16" rear axles. The Pioneer wheels are made for show and go—they deliver high-end performance and a unique look. JConcepts titanium screws in burnt blue (#5037-1) and stealth black (#5037-2) are available separately, or drivers can use their own M3 × 6 mm screws in steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.

In terms of dimensions, the wheels match the IFMAR World Championship-winning Mono wheels, with an industry-standard offset. They are made from durable material with reinforced inner ribs and a sturdy center section, and are available in four-packs in white, fluorescent yellow, retro pink, and stealth black.
