Vanquish VRD Straight Builders Kit 1/10 (Roller)

Overview

The Vanquish Products VRD Builders Kit is our entry-level competition platform, brought to life by some of the most experienced designers in the RC rock crawling segment. Thanks to the VFD transmission and F10 solid axles, the VRD Builders Kit is a highly competitive, predictable, and versatile platform. The heart of the VRD Builders Kit is formed by a pair of 3 mm thick aluminum frame rails, coupled to the flat skid plate at a 6-degree angle. The cast chassis components and skid plate position the VFD transmission as low as possible in the VRD chassis. The front F10 solid axle is equipped with a servo-on-axle and a 4-link suspension.

Chassis

The VRD chassis from Vanquish Products is equipped with cast chassis components that provide an adjustable platform for the most demanding terrain conditions. Multiple mounting positions for shock absorbers and body, combined with minimalist removable front and rear bumpers, make body mounting and installation easy. Stamped aluminum rock sliders provide a flat surface for mounting electronics and/or batteries and support and protect your body.

Drivetrain

The heart of the VRD Builders Kit is the VFD transmission, which omits the cosmetic VFD tunnel for a premium look and weight savings. Internally, the VFD features full ball bearings and metal gears, and the transfer case offers 6.5% overdrive.

The F10 solid axles are proven and feature full ball bearings and universal drive shafts. The front axle has a servo-on-axle suspension with 4-link suspension.

Suspension

The VRD Builders Kit includes the Incision 90mm S8E shock absorbers with aluminum shock absorber housings. Robust stainless steel lower suspension links and lightweight upper links connect the chassis to the axles via the Incision M4 rod ends. The rear lower links are bent for maximum clearance during overhang. Multiple mounting points for the shock absorber and an adjustable shock absorber length provide a wide range of ride height and overhang adjustments.
