Drivetrain

The VS4-10 build kit includes the Vanquish Products VFD transmission and F10 straight axles. The cast F10 straight axles use a high clearance design, minimizing the size of the pumpkin and maximizing strength around the C-hub and spindle. The VFD connects to the F10 straight axles via the ISD10 drive shafts. The ISD10 drive shafts have machined constant velocity joints at both ends with cast spline shafts in between for smooth and efficient performance.

VFD transmission

The VFD is designed for an optimal balance of performance, scale appearance, strength, and versatile optional accessories. The VFD design places the motor forward and as low as possible to keep the weight where you want it. The VFD Spec transmission offers a standard 6.5% overdrive for better turning and climbing performance without stressing your electronics. The T-case uses unique, replaceable bearing plates for adjustable bearing positioning. The modular design of the bearing plates allows optional gear ratios to be used in the T-case. The VFD transmission is compatible with 540 brushed and brushless motors*

F10 Straight Axles

The F10 plastic cast straight axles benefit from Vanquish Products' years of design experience in making the best aluminum axles in the industry. The cast F10 straight axles have an ultra-rigid design with an integrated frame that connects both ends of the axle, and oversized C-axles with an integrated panhard mount.

Chassis

The Vanquish Products VS4-10 chassis is designed to offer you a balance between scale realism and unhindered performance. The steel C-channel design provides scale details, cast front and rear crossmembers fill the chassis rails at the most heavily loaded points for ultimate strength and offer features such as dual servo mounts, winch line guides, and a fuel cell. The cast rock sliders come with a replaceable outer section. The Panhard mount on the chassis is made from machined aluminum to withstand the impact of harsh terrain conditions. Cast shock towers support the top of the 90 mm Incision S8E shock absorbers with double shear for maximum support.

Suspension

The VS4-10 features Incision 90mm S8E shock absorbers with larger threaded aluminum housings with an 8 mm bore, double X-ring seals, lockable spring preload rings, grooved spring cups, polished steel shock shafts, and machined pistons. The front 3-link with Panhard suspension provides scale realism by keeping the servo out of sight while still allowing full suspension travel. The suspension pivots on a full set of stainless steel links to keep weight low with a smooth transition from the link to the rod ends.

S8E Scale Shock Absorbers

The Incision S8E Scale Shock Absorbers feature a larger 8 mm bore for increased damping. The larger volume reduces internal shock absorber pressure for longer seal life. The double-molded X-Ring shock absorber cartridge at the bottom provides more sealing surfaces than standard O-rings. The threaded shock absorber housings allow for a wide spring preload range. Offset lower-mounted pivot points provide more flexibility when adjusting the shock absorber angle.
