Overview

The Aero L-39 Albatros is a two-seat, single-engine trainer aircraft developed in Czechoslovakia and still used by the air forces of various countries. The AMEWI model, a small and agile jet in the improved V2 version, offers enhanced performance with a newly developed 11-blade impeller and a 30A Hobbywing controller, providing both more power and a more pleasant sound compared with the V1 version. The aircraft is supplied largely assembled, with only the wing, linkage, and tail attachment requiring installation. It features pre-installed servos, a 50 mm impeller with a 4900KV brushless motor, and a 30A Hobbywing ESC. Designed for 3S Li-Po batteries between 850 and 1000 mAh, the jet offers a wide speed range, from fast to slow, making it suitable for both experienced and beginner pilots. Its agility and roll rate can be adjusted from highly agile to docile, and it is easy to hand-launch without a tendency to stall. Its compact size makes it ideal for flying from a car trunk and for squadron fun with multiple models.
