Jconcepts Carpet | Astro High-Clearance 7" rear wing

Overview

A new High-Clearance Wing has been developed and produced by JConcepts Inc. The 7-inch wide HCW features a short-chord design for quick rotation and a flat base that offers more tire clearance. As conditions on carpet and artificial grass increase, racers have requested a specific 7-inch rear wing. The durable design has clipped rear corners for increased stiffness and a traditional rear edge for an excellent balance between downforce and low drag.

The side dams of the wing feature hard radius cutouts that provide even more expansion and flex space at the rear of the tires. JConcepts designers Paul Wynn and Fred Reep have added double stability angles that also contribute to an improved front-to-rear structure. The rear of the wing still maintains a high angle relative to the vertical rear dam, offering drivers a simple layout suitable for fast tracks. The HCW is a direct-mount part for most 1/10th buggies and consists of two parts per package. Cut lines are placed throughout for trimming and adjustment options, giving racers control over one of the most important elements in 1/10th off-road racing.
