Overview

Our favorite, the IFMAR World Championships, is the pinnacle of RC racing and a perfect setting for product launches and performance debuts. The legacy of the IFMAR World Championship-winning S15 design is deeply rooted in the new body and is running at full throttle. A great body to sticker, the performance body has plenty of race surface to showcase a range of sponsors and support. With successful designs from the Punisher, Finnisher, and Silencer lines, the JConcepts team made the decision for the Schumacher Cat PB; it was time for the S15.

Using lessons from tradition, the team focused on the placement of the single cockpit, deflection angles, hard edges (JConcepts chamfer), and the winglets on the side. The one side window design differs from the usual JC team bodies but fits nicely with the S15. The S15 performs like a champion, albeit somewhat differently from its predecessors. The delicate structure of the body allows the driver to drive smoothly, steer easily, and take tricky corners without being too aggressive.

The new component perfectly follows the shape of the chassis and the neat layout is free of unwanted openings. The roof fin along the centerline helps the body withstand the heavy demands of crashes and off-track rides, and provides good straight-line grip on the circuit. The top of the sidepod rolls into the rear, absorbing the force applied just in front of the rear tires. Directly behind the cockpit is an adjustable section for the exhaust of warm air and buildup of the inner shell.

The rear of the body has a climbing spoiler shape that uses the back of the body to increase downforce. As always, the body comes with window covers, stickers, and two of the latest Carpet | Turf | Dirt wings for a quick transition from preparation to racing.
