The AFX4 R3D Single-Rotor comes with all the electronics needed to operate the helicopter. All you need to do is install the batteries. Batteries for the remote control are not included and must be provided by you.
Overview
The AFX4 R3D helicopter is a logical evolution of the highly regarded AF4XP model, with stable flying characteristics that make it an ideal choice for the transition from coaxial to single-blade helicopters. One of the standout features is the ability to perform light 3D maneuvers, such as flips and rolls, at the push of a button. Once the helicopter reaches a safe height of about three meters - indicated by a flashing red LED on the transmitter - pilots can activate the 3D mode. This allows the model to autonomously perform rolls or flips with simple directional input, enabling even beginners to put on impressive aerial displays.
Equipped with an integrated 6-axis gyro and servo travel limitation, the AFX4 R3D offers precise control and stable hovering capabilities. It also features self-stabilization similar to coaxial models. The radio remote control includes a special button to reset the helicopter to a stable hover mode. The pitch and roll movements are optimized to ensure that beginner pilots can manage them easily. For those who need extra power in windy conditions, a dual-rate switch on the transmitter enhances the servo travel for additional support. With some practice, this streamlined single-rotor helicopter can be maneuvered smoothly and quickly, making it an excellent training model for smaller spaces.
The AFX4 R3D is delivered in the popular mode 2 (gas to the left), allowing most pilots to use it immediately without adjustments. However, it can be switched to mode 1 with the push of a button. Flight times vary from 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the flying environment and the maneuvers performed.
