Overview
The DUMAS U.S. Coast Guard 44' Rescue Boat (4SP1203) is an impressive 838 mm wooden RC rescue boat kit, based on the self-righting 44-foot motor lifeboats used by the U.S. Coast Guard from 1963 onward. The kit uses traditional plank-on-frame construction, with die-cut plywood frames and keel, balsa wood planking, and numerous cast metal scale fittings. The boat is designed for twin-motor propulsion and can be built either as a sporty RC model or in a more authentic scale configuration. The optional DUMAS #2335 drive set is available for the detailed scale configuration. A beautiful building kit for experienced modelers who want to build an authentic wooden rescue boat.
