Overview

The first 1/8-scale competition ESC that can use full sensored mode at all times (when paired with a HOBBYWING matching motor). Turbo timing technology is implemented by the XR8 SCT to unleash the maximum power of a HOBBYWING matching motor. Built with the most robust, high-quality components and paired with advanced firmware, the XR8 SCT delivers unmatched power and performance for even the most hardcore racing applications, while remaining responsive enough to protect itself from damage caused by overload due to physical abuse, excessive use, or even human error.

The Hobbywing XERUN SCT 3652SD G2 Sensored 5100kV Brushless Motor is a 4-pole powerhouse, ideal for lightweight short-course, truck, and monster truck sensored applications. Because this motor uses a 5 mm diameter motor shaft, it requires pinions with a 5 mm bore.

Motor Features

• Innovative 4-pole, 8-magnet “staggered pole” rotor (patented by Hobbywing) with low cogging effect and torque ripple significantly improves control feel in corners.
• Built-in chip to easily identify the motor with HOBBYWING ESCs. When paired with an HW 1/8 sensored ESC (i.e., XR8 SCT/Plus), the motor can operate in “sensored” mode at all times with excellent output linearity after identification. Turbo timing may be activated for higher output.
• A magnetic ring mounted on the rotor protects the motor from signal interference and guarantees its outstanding stability in "sensored" mode.
• With mechanical timing adjustable from 20 degrees to 40 degrees, users can achieve different output power levels.
• The turbine design implemented by the rotor accelerates internal air circulation and reduces heat.
• The rebuildable design (partially rebuildable) and screwless motor housing make routine maintenance easy, effectively extending the motor's service life and increasing motor efficiency.
• CNC-machined aluminum housing, high-purity copper windings, advanced rotor structure, high-quality alloy steel output shaft, and high-precision bearings provide high durability and smooth operation.
• Updated "U" solder tabs on the underside of the motor for easy soldering and wiring.
