Description
Overview
The KAVAN GO-1020MG (KAV20.1020MG) is a powerful and fast 20 g programmable digital HV micro servo with durable steel gears, a dual-ball-bearing output shaft, and an aluminum housing for optimal heat dissipation. Thanks to its slim 12 mm profile, it is particularly suitable for aileron and flap control in RC gliders with thin wing profiles. With up to 7.5 kg·cm of torque at 8.4 V and a speed of 0.08 s/60°, it is also suitable for various airplanes, helicopters, RC cars, and other models.
Features
- Servo angle: Sets the maximum travel of the servo. The default setting is approximately 120° at a normal control pulse width (900~2100 µs); approximately 180° at the maximum permitted control pulse width (500~2500 µs).
- Servo neutral: Sets the neutral (center) position of the servo.
- Damping factor: Sets the servo's stopping characteristics.
- PWM power: Sets the servo's output power. The higher the value, the faster the servo moves and the more thrust it has—of course, power consumption will increase proportionally. Range: 39.2~100%
- Sensitivity: Adjusts the servo's sensitivity (deadband width). The higher the value, the narrower the deadband—the servo moves only when the change in control signal width is greater than the deadband. A sensitivity value that is too high may cause servo oscillation in some applications. Range: Ultra High (Extra High—sensitivity deadband approx. 1 µs) - High (High—approx. 2 µs) - Medium (Medium—approx. 3 µs) - Low (Low—approx. 4 µs)
- Soft start: Enables/disables the soft-start function. This function prevents the servo from moving abruptly to its operating position after power is switched on, reducing the risk of damage to the servo gears.
- Reverse: Reverses the servo's direction of rotation.
- FUTABA SR mode: For use only with a FUTABA RC system in SR mode. Do not enable this option if you are using another FUTABA RC system setting or an RC system from another brand.
- SANWA SSR mode: For use only with a SANWA RC system in SSR mode. Do not enable this option if you are using another SANWA RC system setting or an RC system from another brand.
- Fail-safe: If the receiver's control signal is completely lost or the servo cannot detect the signal correctly (e.g., due to interference), the servo can enter one of three fail-safe modes:
- (a) Free: Fail-safe is disabled.
- (b) Hold position: The servo holds the position corresponding to the last correctly received signal.
- (c) Return to neutral: The servo returns to the neutral position (1500 µs pulse width).
- Overload protection: Enables or disables the servo's overload protection at three levels. Once the overload has lasted for a preset time (in seconds), the servo's output power is limited to the corresponding preset value (as a percentage of maximum power).
- Reset: Resets the connected servo to its factory settings.
