Description

Overview

The KAVAN GO-10S13MG (KAV20.10S13MG) is a compact, fast 13 g programmable digital pico servo for small RC models. With titanium gears, an output shaft with dual ball bearings, and an aluminum center case for good heat dissipation, it delivers up to 2.0 kg·cm of torque at 6.0 V and a speed of 0.08 s/60°. Ideal for small RC airplanes, 1:16–1:24 RC cars, and 400–450-class helicopters.

Programmable functions

  • Servo Angle: Maximum servo rotation angle range setting. The default range is approx. 120° within the regular RC signal pulse width range (900~2100 µs); approx. 180° within the maximum signal pulse width range (500~2500 µs).
  • Servo Neutral: Servo neutral (center) position setting.
  • Damping Factor: Servo damping setting – adjusts the servo characteristics when stopping.
  • PWM Power: Adjusts the servo output power. The higher the power, the higher the speed and torque of the servo – however, current consumption will also be higher.
  • Sensitivity: Servo sensitivity (Dead Band) setting. The higher the sensitivity, the narrower the dead band – the servo moves only if the change in signal pulse width is greater than the dead band width. A setting that is too high may cause servo jitter in some applications. Range: Ultra High (approx. 1 µs dead band) – High (approx. 2 µs) – Medium (approx. 3 µs) – Low (approx. 4 µs)
  • Soft Start: Turns the soft-start feature on or off. If ON, the servo moves slowly to the initial position corresponding to the servo signal once the power is switched on.
  • Reverse: Reverses the servo movement direction.
  • Narrow Band: FUTABA SR Mode – only for use with FUTABA radio channels operating in SR mode. Do not turn this option on if you are using a different setting on your FUTABA radio or any other radio.
  • SANWA SSR: SANWA SSR Mode – only for use with SANWA radio channels operating in SSR mode. Do not turn this option on if you are using a different setting on your SANWA radio or any other radio.
  • Lost PPM Protection (Fail-Safe): If the control signal from the receiver is completely lost or cannot be decoded correctly (due to interference), the servo can use one of three fail-safe modes:
    • (a) Release: No fail-safe protection.
    • (b) Keep Position: Keeps the position corresponding to the last correct control signal.
    • (c) Go Neutral Position: The servo returns to the neutral (1500 µs pulse width) position.
  • Overload protection: Enables or disables servo overload protection at three levels – once the overload condition lasts for the preset time (in seconds), the servo output power is reduced to the corresponding preset level (% of maximum power).
  • Default: Restores the factory default settings of the connected servo.
