Description

Overview

The KAVAN GO-1257MG is a powerful 57 g low-profile digital brushless servo with hardened steel gears, dual ball bearings, and an operating voltage of 4.8–8.4 V. With a speed of up to 0.058 s/60° and torque of up to 16.0 kg·cm, it is ideal for 1:10/1:12 drift and on-road RC cars, airplanes, and helicopters. The aluminum housing with a CNC-machined heatsink ensures optimal heat dissipation. The servo can be programmed via the KAVAN GO USB programming interface and PC software.

Features

  • Servo angle: Sets the maximum range of the servo rotation angle. The standard range is approximately 120° within the normal RC signal pulse-width range (900~2100 µs); approximately 180° within the maximum signal pulse-width range (500~2500 µs).
  • Servo neutral: Sets the neutral (center) position of the servo.
  • Damping factor: Sets the servo damping – adjusts the servo characteristics when stationary.
  • PWM power: Adjusts the servo output power. The higher the power, the higher the servo speed and torque – and the higher the power consumption.
  • Sensitivity: Sets the servo sensitivity (dead band). The higher the sensitivity, the narrower the dead band – the servo moves only when the change in signal pulse width is greater than the dead band. A setting that is too high may cause servo oscillation in some applications. Range: Ultra high (approx. 1 µs dead band) – High (approx. 2 µs) – Medium (approx. 3 µs) – Low (approx. 4 µs)
  • Soft Start: Enables/disables the soft-start function. When enabled, the servo moves slowly to the initial position corresponding to the servo signal when power is switched on.
  • Reverse: Reverses the servo's direction of movement.
  • Narrowband: FUTABA SR mode – for use only with FUTABA radio channels operating in SR mode. Do not enable this option when using another setting on your FUTABA radio or using another radio.
  • SANWA SSR: SANWA SSR mode – for use only with SANWA radio channels operating in SSR mode. Do not enable this option when using another setting on your SANWA radio or using another radio.
  • PPM loss protection (fail-safe): If the receiver's control signal is completely lost or cannot be decoded correctly (due to interference), the servo can select one of three fail-safe modes:
    • (a) Release: No fail-safe protection.
    • (b) Hold position: Holds the position corresponding to the last correctly received control signal.
    • (c) Return to neutral position: The servo returns to the neutral position (1500 µs pulse width).
  • Overload protection: Enables or disables the servo's overload protection at three levels. Once the overload persists for the set time (in seconds), the servo output power is reduced to the corresponding configured level (% of maximum power).
  • Default: Restores the factory settings of the connected servo.
