Overview

The Enduro Trailwalker Portal Plus Trail Truck is built for confident trail adventures. It features portal axles with high clearance and fully metal gears, ball bearings, and a heavy-duty internal input bearing, providing nearly an inch more clearance than standard straight axles. This rugged design is perfect for navigating challenging terrain. The Trailwalker Portal Plus comes standard with performance-oriented electronics, including a 14-turn 5-slot brushed motor combined with a 2-in-1 ESC/receiver. Control is made easy with a 4-channel 2.4GHz radio and Reedy Power high-torque metal gear servo, making this trail truck ready for any adventure.

Features

BTA steering and aluminum steering plates: Behind-the-axle steering offers better approach angles, more clearance, and a tighter look. Bolted aluminum steering plates allow for more adjustments, rigidity, and future modifications.

Integrated servo winch mount: Mounting a winch directly on the chassis is the strongest and most reliable spot on any trail rig. Positioned next to the steering servo for overall chassis balance and weight distribution.

Threaded aluminum shock absorber housings: Threaded aluminum and filled with fluid, these shock absorbers keep the vehicle stable on the course and retain oil, even on the roughest terrain.

Reedy Power crawler motor: The Reedy Power 5-slot
14-turn brushed crawler motor delivers plenty of torque with smooth power delivery. This provides slow, precise acceleration while maintaining consistent power on rough terrain and obstacles.

RX-21 2-in-1 esc/receiver unit: This RTR is equipped with a 2-in-1 waterproof brushed electronic speed control (ESC) and receiver unit with on/off switch.

Optional gears: If more underdrive is desired, we also offer an optional Factory Team 12/23 gear set (sold separately) with about 36% underdrive for serious rock crawler addicts.

Portal axles: When it comes to rock crawling, ground clearance is crucial. That's why the Trailwalker Portal Plus includes our brand new portal axles with high clearance. With nearly an inch more center axle clearance compared to standard straight axles, it's a breeze to get over heavy obstacles. To combat the huge amount of torque inherent in portal axles, we not only use metal gears everywhere but also use six screws to firmly hold the portal gearboxes. With so many screws, this means a stronger portal box and less chance of gears falling apart under heavy load.

Stealth® X: Included is our performance-proven Stealth® X transmission with the ability to adjust the rear gear ratio. In the box, you get the standard 5.7% and 11.83% gear options. Combined with our brand new portal axles with zero percent underdrive, this is the perfect mild setup for the average crawler. If even more underdrive at the rear is desired, an optional 12/23 tooth gear set (#42373) is sold separately for an extra 36% overdrive from axle to axle only!
