Overview
When JConcepts hits the track with new items, you can feel it. The Pioneer wheels for the modern 4WD buggy class, first introduced at the Florida Carpet Championships, combine a retro-inspired look with JConcepts’ signature style. Inspired by a replica of Masami Hirosaka’s 1989 car, Jason Ruona dreamed of creating an iconic variation. The removable panels provide a unique style while retaining the correct offset and mounting characteristics.
Fresh outer ribs, a radial ring around the wheel nut, and four screw positions replicate vintage details from RC’s golden age. Designed for both show and go, Pioneer wheels offer a fresh look, high-end performance, and a variety of color options. JConcepts titanium screws are sold separately in burnt blue (#5037-1) and stealth black (#5037-2), while racers can also use M3 × 6 mm screws in steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
The wheels match the dimensions of the IFMAR World Championship-winning Mono wheels, with an industry-standard offset. They are made from durable material with reinforcing ribs on the inside and a strong 12 mm hex mounting hub. They are available in packs of 4 in white, fluorescent yellow, retro pink, and stealth black.
