Overview
The DUMAS City of Buffalo (4SP1270) is an impressive 838 mm 1:48 scale model kit of the historic American river passenger steamboat City of Buffalo, launched in 1890 on Chautauqua Lake, New York. The kit combines a laser-cut plywood frame hull with balsa wood planking, a deck and superstructure made of pre-cut microcellular PVC, and various wooden details. An extensive collection of brass, plastic, white-metal, and laser-cut wooden scale details ensures an authentic finish. The kit is intended for experienced model builders and can be equipped with a 500/600-series electric motor and RC system. For RC operation, at minimum a 2-channel transmitter/receiver, bidirectional ESC, and standard rudder servo are required. A unique building project for enthusiasts of historic American steamboats and detailed RC models.
