Description

Overview

The KAVAN GO-1017MG (KAV20.1017MG) is a powerful and fast 17 g programmable digital HV micro servo with titanium gears and an output shaft with dual ball bearings. Thanks to its wide voltage range of 4.8–8.4 V and slim 12 mm housing, it is particularly suitable for aileron and flap control in fast RC gliders and hotliners with thin wing profiles. The aluminum center housing provides good heat dissipation under high loads.

Features

  • Servo angle: Sets the servo's maximum travel. The default setting is approximately 120° at a normal control pulse width (900~2100 µs); approximately 180° at the maximum permitted control pulse width (500~2500 µs).
  • Servo neutral: Sets the servo's neutral (center) position.
  • Damping factor: Sets the servo's stopping characteristics.
  • PWM power: Sets the servo's output power. The higher the value, the faster the servo moves and the more thrust it has—of course, power consumption will increase proportionally. Range: 39.2~100%
  • Sensitivity: Adjusts the servo's sensitivity (deadband). The higher the value, the narrower the deadband—the servo moves only when the change in control signal width is greater than the deadband. A sensitivity setting that is too high may cause servo oscillation in some applications. Range: Ultra High (Extra High—sensitivity deadband approx. 1 µs) - High (High—approx. 2 µs) - Medium (Medium—approx. 3 µs) - Low (Low—approx. 4 µs)
  • Soft start: Turns the soft-start function on or off. This function prevents the servo from moving abruptly to the operating position after power is switched on, reducing the risk of damage to the servo gears.
  • Reverse: Reverses the servo's direction of rotation.
  • FUTABA SR mode: Only use with a FUTABA RC system in SR mode. Do not enable this option if you are using another FUTABA RC system setting or an RC system from another brand.
  • SANWA SSR mode: Only use with a SANWA RC system in SSR mode. Do not enable this option if you are using another SANWA RC system setting or an RC system from another brand.
  • Fail-safe: If the receiver's control signal is completely lost or the servo cannot detect the signal correctly (e.g., due to interference), the servo can enter one of three fail-safe modes:
    • (a) Free: Fail-safe is disabled.
    • (b) Hold position: the servo maintains the position corresponding to the last correctly received signal.
    • (c) Return to neutral: the servo returns to the neutral position (1500 µs pulse width).
  • Overload protection: Turns the servo's overload protection on or off at three levels. Once the overload has lasted for a preset time (in seconds), the servo's output power is limited to the corresponding preset value (% of maximum power).
  • Reset: Returns the connected servo to its factory settings.
