Overview
A new High-Clearance Wing has been developed and produced by JConcepts Inc. The 7-inch-wide HCW features a short-chord design for rapid rotation and a flat base that provides more tire clearance. As conditions on carpet and artificial turf continue to improve, racers have requested a dedicated 7-inch rear wing. The durable design features truncated rear corners for increased stiffness and a traditional trailing edge for an excellent balance between downforce and low drag.
The wing’s side dams feature hard-radius cutouts that provide even more tire expansion and flex room at the rear of the tires. JConcepts designers Paul Wynn and Fred Reep added dual stability angles that also contribute to an improved front-to-rear structure. The rear of the wing still maintains a high angle relative to the vertical rear dam, giving drivers a simple layout suitable for fast tracks. The HCW is a direct-fit component for most 1/10-scale buggies and includes two pieces per package. Cut lines are provided throughout for trimming and setup options, giving racers control over one of the most important elements in 1/10-scale off-road racing.
