Overview
A new High-Clearance Wing has been developed and produced by JConcepts Inc. The HCW features a short-chord design for rapid rotation and a flat base that provides greater tire clearance. As conditions on carpet and artificial turf continue to improve, racers have requested a specific rear wing. The durable design has truncated rear corners for increased rigidity and a traditional trailing edge for an excellent balance between downforce and low drag.
The wing side dams feature hard-radius cutouts that provide even more expansion and flex room at the rear of the tire. JConcepts designer Paul Wynn added dual stability angles that also contribute to an improved front-to-rear structure. The rear of the wing still maintains a high angle relative to the vertical rear dam, giving drivers a simple layout suitable for fast tracks.
The HCW is a direct-fit part for most 1/10-scale buggies and includes two pieces per package. Cut lines are placed throughout for trimming and adjustment options, giving racers control over one of the most important elements in 1/10-scale off-road racing.
